curtsy [または curtsey] は単に「おじぎをする」という日本語に置き換えると正確に意味するものが伝わらないので、ある程度説明的に訳す必要があるでしょう。辞書を見ておきましょう。

どの程度説明するかは悩ましい問題ですが、少なくとも「ひざを曲げる」という情報は入れておいた方がよさそうです。落下しながら “curtsy” をしようとするアリスのイメージが、読み手の頭に浮かぶようにしたいところです。
